Joshua Ciannarella working on his syllabus techniques with Sempai Richard King

Joshua Ciannarella was back into full swing after passing his grading in June. Linnet Gallick unfortunately due to work commitments at home has not been able to make regular training. A few days before Linnets grading, she stubbed her big toe whilst training and managed to break it – this did not stop though and she continued with her grading to successfully pass, breaking your little toe is not too bad but when it comes to your big toe it can be a little bit different especially when trying to balance – well done Linnet. She also has some lovely bruises after grading from breakfalling; let’s push on and work hard towards achieving yellow.

At the beginning of July Joshua Ciannarella, Sonny Clark and Sempai Richard King worked on some weapons work within the syllabus. This is to give the students a little bit of an insight of techniques that they can look forward to when they get higher in the belts. Sonny Clark, still only 14 years of age is towering above Joshua and has no problems performing.

In the second week of July Sempai Richard King was unable to help out with the club due to being on holiday, Sempai Richard as taking timeout of his busy work schedule to come along and help instruct the teenager and adult class, which I’m very grateful – thank you!

Due to the refurbishment of the Wymondham leisure we have had to relocate to Robert Kett Junior School. This is only short-term measure and everything should be back to normal by the start of September when normal service will be resumed.

With Sempai Richard been away, I decided to do the junior, teenager and adult class as one. Andrew Holmes who is in the teenager class partnered up with Tom Brass to practice techniques; although Tom is in the junior class he is one of the older ones and has no problems working with Andrew.

If any of you are going away I hope you have a lovely holiday, a safe journey and please get back in one piece! If you are not going away then I will see you at the club to hone your techniques.

For all of those that are attending the Wayland show in Norfolk, have a safe trip and thank you for your support. I’m sure it will be a fantastic day with plenty of sunshine and you never know we may get our face in the paper.

Please make sure you all visit the website and leave your comments, guestbook entry and of course have a look at the new calendar which has just gone live.

We have the Shochu Geiko on the 3rd and 4th of October 2015, please make sure you have this in your diary as this is an event which requires everyone’s attention.

  1. Another excellent report from the Wymondham ju jutsu club Sensei Del. So good to see another adult club up and running…

  2. Wicked report Sensei. The adults look like they are having loads of fun. Looking forward to seeing them at the Shochu Geiko if not before.
