What an amazing grading by all the students in the infant class. It was a very hot day during the grading, but this didn’t bother the students one bit. As usual they gave it 100%, and never gave up. One student that really stood out for me was Hannah, who has got stronger and stronger in every way. She did a very impressive grading, especially when it came to the take down section. Hannah really went for it, and never gave in to any of the other students even if they were much bigger then her.
Congratulations to Kaysie, for all her hard work during the last month. Kaysie has been training for many years now and is always a very happy student during the lessons. Her confidence and ability to demonstrate techniques has improved so. It was a pleasure to award her with student of the month.
What a fantastic month for Harvey who was awarded student of the month. Harvey has been a great member of the class, and he has developed his skills in the techniques that we use during the lessons.
It is always a pleasure to teach the Saturday classes; they are so up for whatever I want them to do. There is a great mixture of students that all get on so well together. Well done to Jessica & Maddison who both work really hard in the lessons. Their confidence and ability in their throws and self-defence techniques is really great to watch. The class has had the opportunity to have a go at a very effective finger lock and take up technique. It was great to see how quick they wanted to get off the floor, whilst being controlled just by one finger.
Well done to all the teenagers for yet another great month. Good luck to all the ones that will be taking their next grading in July. This will be the last grading my daughter will take before she hopefully moves into the adult class. Where has the time gone, I can remember when she first started at the age of six. I am so proud of everything she has achieved in Ju Jitsu and I know that she will be able to protect herself. As a parent that is one of the major reason why I wanted my children to train in in martial arts.
Congratulations to Maddison, who received a progress card medal for all her hard work on throwing techniques. Maddison has really started to gain her confidence and works so hard on developing her skills in Ju Jitsu. It is such a pleasure to watch a student every week grow and gain new knowledge and understanding of the skills that she is learning.
A brilliant months training by so many awesome students, keep up the great work.
