All the Infants that entered into this year’s championship did really well and I am very proud of them. They showed lots of courage, determination and especially respect to their fellow competitors throughout the event. It won’t be long before they will all be grading for the second time this year. It is so crazy how fast time is going.
Congratulations to Victor who was awarded Student of the Month for all his commitment to training. Victor is always a very keen and eager student during his lessons.
Congratulations to Noah Carpenter for winning the title of Student of the Month. It was excellent to see his reaction when is name was called out – he was so surprised. It is always hard for a new student to join a club, when he doesn’t know anyone. Yet Noah has done really well and has made some new friends in the class. That is the really great part of our style of Ju Jitsu – it doesn’t matter if you are new or don’t know anyone, all the children are so friendly and helpful to new recruits.
The Juniors are working hard on their techniques for the gradings in July, which is really scary thought. They have also got a demonstration at the Thetford Fun Day at the end of July. So it is a busy next few months for everyone. Well done to Zak Mitchell who has worked really hard this month. He is a great member of the group and trains well with all his fellow students in the class.
It is great to see that the four Juniors that moved up to the Teenager class are doing really well. In time they will get stronger and be able to cope with the training that is a lot different to the Junior classes. It is so much better when you have a bigger class as it gives the adults move victims to play with.
Many of the adults will hopefully be certifying their grades at the next adult grading, which will give them a big confidence boost. Thank you to Terry Whiffin for all his tremendous assistance on a Saturday with my Saturday classes.
Just one final thing to let everyone know, this year’s SUMMER CAMP is from Monday 3rd August to Friday 7th August. There is a limited amount of spaces in both the Infant and Junior camp. The cut-off date is Saturday 7th July, due to medals and trophies that have to be ordered for the camp.
This is a great chance for your child to have lots of fun and Ju Jitsu Training for 5 hours a day over a week period. Letters and a booking form will be going out in the first week of June.
