Happy kids with their new belts

Happy kids with their new belts

This term’s student of the month goes to Joseph Thompson, as he has been working really hard and also helping all the other students in the class. Joseph has shown a keen interest in showing the lower grades in the class some of the moves in great detail. I have to say that he is a big help and I am very proud his attitude. Keep up the good work and keep training hard.

This term has been so much fun and has gone by so quick. With all the kids learning strangles from kneeling and also from being on top of someone. The kids have been loving this as it comes in very handy for grappling – if you can’t breathe you can’t fight. Two students that always go for the back and it comes down to who is faster from the word go is Josh Alley and William Norton – both boys have perfected the way of getting to someone’s back.

The class has been getting ready for their grading at the end of term with rounds of stand up grappling and fitness. The class knows it’s going to be very hard grading but they have been putting in extra effort so that they won’t have any problems.

One of the main parts of the grading this time round is their Ishin Ryu Jiu Jitsu spirit to keep going and push them self’s to the next level. To finish off the grading they will all have to grapple me and try and escape from me pinning them down.

As this is the last grading and last lesson for the school year to finish off the kids and I have been playing loads of games and using some of the punch bags. The weather was hot, but that didn’t stop us from working hard and looking red like the mats.

This year has been a so much fun the kids put 100% into all their training and always have smiles on their faces. I couldn’t ask for a better class to teach. I look forward to seeing you all in the new year and can’t wait to teach you loads more in the years to come.

I would like to say to everyone have a lovely summer holiday stay safe and I look forward to hearing all your holiday stories.
