I would like to start this half term of by saying a big well done to Liam Tregea in the infant class and Isaac Green in the junior class for becoming this terms student of the month. Both students have worked extremely hard with helping the lower belts with their training and also working hard on their own training with some amazing moves I can see that they have come a long way from last year. Keep up the good work.

I would like to say a big welcome back to everyone I hope everyone is rested and ready for an action packed half term. We kick start this term off with getting everyone ready for their grading work making sure that everyone knows what they are doing.
With the first week or so getting back in to training with going over are basic moves both classes have been learning defence agents wrist grabs and locks from the ground to submission. The infant class have been going over the basic hold downs with how to escape from them. This has been really fun for the kids as they have to move around the mat on their backs and make space.

The junior class have been doing a lot more from this move as having to make space and make sure that they don’t get locked up with their arms or legs so they cannot move. I have to say that all the kids have been brilliant at this and have been working really hard.

The infant class have also been working hard on some fitness side of things as well with the grappling playing a big part in their fitness rolling around on the floor with someone on top of you is hard work and Pablo Branley has been super-fast at moving around getting space I can tell he does loads of running for the school.

This half term both classes have been working hard and I know that this half term has gone quick next half term will be grading time so we have been working hard on are wrist locks and arm locks with some the high grades doing a little bit more from throws and ground work, I know they will all be fine it is just making sure they do not forget on the day.
There is a load to look forward to in the next half term so keep up to date with everything that goes on within Ishin Ryu Ju Jitsu.
