Classes are getting stronger week after week

Classes are getting stronger week after week

What an amazing month it has been for the club. Every week we have had new students come along and join. One parent brought his two sons down for their free lessons, by the end of the first lesson the parent paid for both of their memberships. Many of the students will be performing their first ever demonstration at this year’s 4th July celebrations. This is an amazing day with so much going on throughout the day right up to the end of the night with their brilliant fireworks display.

They have also been working hard on their grading techniques, which they have developed really well. It is great to watch them week after week getting better and faster in their skills. One student that has really done well is Cohen, who is a very quiet student but really gives it 100%.

Nelah Yabut (Infants)

Nelah Yabut (Infants)

Congratulations to Nelah, for all her tremendous work in the last month. She is always a very happy student, and loves the grappling side of Ju Jitsu. Nelah is always the first student to put her hand up when it comes to asking questions about Ju Jitsu. All the students are very good at their knowledge and Japanese words.

This month I have been doing defence against wrist locks, which they really got stuck into. Especially when at the start of any grab they had to shout at the top of their voice “get of me”. In some cases they really screamed, and shouted so loud, I had to step back a few times. They really enjoyed doing it and had lots of fun as well. Good luck to all the infants that will be taking their grading at the start of July.

Makayla Jacobson (juniors)

Makayla Jacobson (juniors)

Congratulations to Makayla who was awarded student of the month. Makayla is starting to grow in her confidence and isn’t trying to beat up her brother too much. They both love doing Ju Jitsu and are developing their skills every week. Like the infants, the juniors will be part of the demonstration team, which will be a great day for them and their parents to watch them preform.

The juniors are ready to take their next level in Ju Jitsu with gradings about to take place at the start of July. They are all a great bunch of students with a new one joining every week. Welcome to brothers Donovan & Dayton who have just joined the club. Congratulations to Hayden who was awarded a progress medal for his groundwork techniques. If the club keeps growing at the rate that it is I will have to invest in some new mats. Good luck to all the juniors that will be grading soon. Remember give it 100% keep fighting and pushing yourself to the limit without giving up.

Just one final thing to let everyone know, this year’s SUMMER CAMP is from Monday 3rd August to Friday 7th August. There is a limited amount of spaces in both the infant and junior camp. The cut-off date is Saturday 7th July, due to medals and trophies that have to be ordered for the camp.

This is a great chance for your child to have lots of fun and Ju Jitsu Training for 5 hours a day over a week period. Letters and a booking form will be going out in the first week of June.

Well done to everyone for a great months training, see you all at the 4th July Celebrations
