Students have a brilliant time at this year’s British Championship

Students have a brilliant time at this year’s British Championship

Well done to all the infants that took part in this year’s British championship – you all did the club proud. Not only have the infants been working on techniques for their grading’s, but we have also got to get them ready for the “INDEPENDENCE DAY” celebrations on the 4th July. This is an amazing day with a massive fairground, lots of different types of American food. And the highlight of the event is the red arrows display team, and a spectator fireworks display.

Well done to Story Woodworth who has had a brilliant month. It is always great when you have students who really want to learn Ju Jitsu and enjoy every minute of their lessons.

Christian Hill (Infants)

Christian Hill (Infants)

Congratulations to Christian Hill who was awarded Student of the Month. Christian has worked really hard this month, and is starting to come out of his shell as his confidence grows every week. It is great to see how a student starts to develop their skills in Ju Jitsu.

Sebastian Woodworth (juniors)

Sebastian Woodworth (juniors)

Congratulations to Sebastian Woodworth for all her amazing work last month. She has so much passion and is really keen to learn new things. I look forward to seeing her compete next year at the championships. Sebastian has a lot of fight in her and loves it when we do stand up.

Last month I said that the junior class is a bit quite. Well it is starting to change already I have had two new juniors start and there are many new ones joining and wanting to learn our style of Ju Jitsu. I am hoping that the demonstration this year at their Independence Day will be a big boost for the club. Well done to Orlando & Jackson who have had a great month. They are all working hard on their techniques for the grading in July, which if they carry on with their attitude to training it will be a breeze for them. Congratulations to Kiera Hill who became British Champion at her first ever championship. Kieara worked so hard over the last month to prepare herself for the championship. It is so great to see a student with so much determination to train hard and have a vision to go for what they want to achieve.

Just one final thing to let everyone know, this year’s SUMMER CAMP is from Monday 3rd August to Friday 7th August. There is a limited amount of spaces in both the infant and junior camp. The cut-off date is Saturday 7th July, due to medals and trophies that have to be ordered for the camp.

This is a great chance for your child to have lots of fun and Ju Jitsu Training for 5 hours a day over a week period. Letters and a booking form will be going out in the first week of June.

Well done to everyone for a great months training, keep up the brilliant work see you all next time.
