Packed Infants class celebrating their success

Packed Infants class celebrating their success

Amazing determination from all the infants who took part in the final grading for 2015. Well done to all the students that took their first ever grading in our style of Ju Jitsu. Even though we lost quite a few that returned back home earlier in the year, we have recruited so many more that we now have a waiting list for the infant class. It is great to see some of the students in the new uniforms, which look really great, and the feedback from the parents has been amazing.

Juniors celebrate their success

Juniors celebrate their success

As always the junior class did a brilliant grading, it was a pleasure to watch. They worked extremely hard throughout, never giving in. their determination and fitness was awesome, and the respect to each other was in true Ishin Ryu style. We sadly will be losing a student just after Christmas, which is a real shame. He has been a member from the very first day, so I will miss him, but wish him all the best for the future.

Soke and me with our awards

Soke and me with our awards

I and Soke were invited to the Martial Arts illustrated Hall of Fame 2015 recently. It was an amazing night for the both of us, as I was presented with an award for all my work and dedication to martial arts over the last 21 years. It was also a great honour and privilege to see my instructor get awarded with a Lifetime Achievement award.

Having been teaching children for the last sixteen years, I have been very lucky and honoured to take part in so many amazing trips and courses. Back in 2004 I was involved in a major car crash were I broke my neck. I was told that I would never be able to practise martial arts again, which would have changed my life forever.

If it hadn’t been for my martial art training under my instructor Soke Kevin Pell I would have been paralysed from the neck down or even worse! I can’t thank Soke enough for all the years that I was used as his uke and the personal training that he has given me over the last 21 years.

I look forward to seeing you all at this year Christmas party which is always a massive event to end the year. It is on SUNDAY 20TH DECEMBER from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the THETFORD Leisure Centre, Croxton Road, Thetford, IP24 1JD

You will get the chance to have fun on the BUNGEE RUN, BOUNCY CASTLES, MASSIVE SLIDE, food drinks and of course the chance to meet SANTA, RULDOPH & SNOWMAN.

RUDOLPH READY FOR ALL THE FUN

RUDOLPH READY FOR ALL THE FUN

As last year’s summer camp was a sell-out, I can confirm that next year’s summer camp will be from MONDAY 8TH AUGUST TO FRIDAY 12TH AUGUST 2016.

As this will be my last report of the year I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my students and parents for their amazing support throughout the year. Without all the amazing students that I have the honour to teach every week I would not be in the position I am in today

HAVE A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY MERRY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND ALL YOUR FAMILY.

Please visit our website www.ishinryu.com as much as possible as I submit reports every month about the students training during the previous month. This is a great opportunity to see if you have been mentioned or appear in a photo.

We also have the new calendar page where you can have a look at upcoming events so you can plan ahead. You can also leave feedback on each of the reports or comment on your son/daughters club and share them to your Facebook pages.

If you have any questions or you are unsure of anything, please catch me at the club where I will be happy to help!

If you are on Facebook, please can you send me and Kevin Pell a friend request so if we need to pass on information quickly I can contact you, and when the reports go up I can share it to your Facebook page so you get it straight away…
