Students ready for their grading

Congratulations to Cash Young for all his hard work and commitment to training over the last month. It is always a hard decision to choose a student to award the title to. Even though all the infants had a great month, Cash topped the class.

Congratulation to Noah Duggan, who was awarded student of the month. It is not only a special moment for the student but also for their parents who are always so proud of them.

As an instructor, March is always a special time, but on the other hand it is a nerve racking time for all the students as they have to demonstrate all the techniques and basics techniques all the students have been taught over the last four months. There were lots of students taking their first ever belt, so they were anxious not knowing what was going to happen. They all did a brilliant grading from the start, with their breakfalls, groundwork and plenty of fitness tests. It is also great to see the difference many have made since they first started. Getting their first ever belt and certificate is such a confidence boost. It is so lovely to see how happy they and their parents are when they step forward to receive their awards. One student that really stood out was Kylee White, who is such a happy student. She really gets stuck in with whatever she is asked to do.

It is always great to see so many parents turn up for the presentation evening. Especially on RAF Feltwell where many of the parents are still serving and turn up in their military uniforms. Congratulations to all the infants for all their tremendous work and commitment to their club.

The juniors had a great month getting ready for their grading. It was brilliant to watch and they gave it 100% to all the techniques and fitness tests. Two students that really stood out for me was Hannah Vanhouse and Kaylee Bane, who have been training at the club since it started back in 2012. They really showed spirit and determination, and gave the boys a real run for their money. Congratulations to all the Juniors – you are all a credit to the dojo. I look forward to you all showing how great you are at this year’s 4th July celebrations.
