RAF Feltwell Ju Jitsu Club
February 2015

Congratulations to Cash Young, who was awarded student of the month. He has worked extremely hard in his lessons aiming to take his first ever exam soon. The infant’s class has grown to its biggest yet with only a couple of places left. Lots of new students will be taking their first belt to white/red and Pearl Lemak who will be taking the highest grade in the group to white/purple.

The dojo is fitted out with mats wall to wall, so it is very safe for all the students. They have been working hard on their fitness, breakfalls, groundwork & most important etiquette.

The infants love it when they do takedown in the lesson. It is great to see them getting stuck in and being very confident. They always surprise me by the quality of the throws and what they can do on the ground.
When they do a great throw and get a hold down they are so happy with themselves, it is great to see. Good luck to all the infants who will be taking their exams for their first or next belt

Noah Duggan (juniors) – student of the month

Congratulations to Noah Duggan, winner of student of the month. Noah is a very strong and dedicated student in the class. He loves doing takedown and works well on the ground. The junior class has also grown steadily with nearly a full class. They have been all working hard for their next exam, especially with their fitness and basics.

Just like the infants they love doing throws with groundwork. It is great watching the girls give the boys a hard time. Especially when they make them tap out or do a great throw on them. They have been training to defend from rear grabs & wrist grabs for their upcoming grading. It is great to see them work under pressure whilst being attacked from different positions. Seven students will be attempting their first ever grading in Ju Jitsu with the rest of the class grading up to orange/black already. It is amazing how quick time as passed since I first started this dojo two years ago. Good luck to all the students that will be attempting to grade soon
