I would like to start this special report off by saying a big well done to Tommy Nibblet from the Potters Bar Dojo for reserving a very special award for six years commitment to training.
Tommy started Ishin Ryu Ju Jitsu in 2008 and has worked his way up from the Infant class to the highest belt in the Junior class.
Tommy is an amazing student to teach and puts 100% in every lesson. He has carried out demonstrators for Ishin Ryu, won gold and silver at the Children’s Championships, and I am sure that this is just the start because he has an amazing talent when it comes to Ju Jitsu.
It is not all down to Tommy. A big thank you and well done is due to his mum, Michelle, and his dad, Philip, for bringing him every week and supporting not only him, but also the club. They help me and Tommy with events in and around Potters Bar.
It is very easy for children these days not to bother coming to training choosing instead to play on the computer or X-Box because kids have loads more to do and can talk to each over at home on the computer instead of going outside.
But it is amazing to see the heart in some of the students that get up and come training, making new friends and having a good time training. Hopefully one day see them in the adult lesson, making it up to black belt.
