  1. I have spent the larger part of my 48 year passion following this simple code and it is just that – A code of discipline and nothing less…

Ouss… One secret to learning ju-jitsu… Keep going to ju-jitsu…

Discipline & determination, will enable you to defeat your own demons & allow you to consistently attend & improve your ju-jitsu. Which will allow you in time, to improve yourself as an individual & become a fluffy, fun & thoroughly interesting, unpredictable, if quietly capable individual, with instant wit & ready repartee, a mystical air & outrageous fashion challenging outfits with a penchant for ‘buffoonery’…
Hey… May as well aim high & adjust your fall of shot…

    Principles of excellence & achievement…
Learn what you can, whenever you can & remember it…practice, practice…
Be as fit as you can be… Try your absolute best, at all times…
Apply the best technique & combination you think you know & adapt to the best you can get, if needed apply it again… Train as hard as you can & be aware of your & your uke’s limitations, level of ability & respect… Respect & serve/assist, your comrades as a minimum… Maximum? No there ain’t one, so push the envelope… Hard training, easy combat…

Learn, apply & try to live by the virtues of bushido…(look em up.!)
Do not quit until just after death, (it may just be the next level.!).
Be your own judge & worst critic, then fight through anyway…
    No retreat… Never surrender…

Domo arigato… Soke Kev, sensei, sempai & all the focused & hard working ju-jitsu-ka of the ishin ryu ju-jitsu Aldenham Dojo…
An excellent evenings training with intensity, real focus, example, attitude & action of the highest standards & determination to excel…

I look forward to returning whenever possible in my journey.
Especially for the 6’6″ O’Goshi, airborne training throws, thanks Jake.
Thank you all for your welcome smiles & hugs, hospitality, example & inspiration,
Domo arigato… Honour & respect, Simon
