It’s great to be back at Lockers Park, I hope everyone enjoyed the time off!
Firstly I would like to say well done to Alexander Hardy for being awarded the Student of the Month for the December term. Well done and keep up the good work.
Well this term has been a busy we have been preparing for the next grading. The class have been working on the dropping reverse body and various chokes and locks. It has been great to see the class taking these techniques on bored so quickly. It has been great to see you all trying so hard in class.
The class have been training really hard for the gradings; we have been doing our techniques over and over again. Also fitness and grappling have played a big part in the boys sessions which everyone has enjoyed.
As the grading day came everyone was anxious but also excited for the day. The class got pushed extremely hard. In total the class did five fitness test and their techniques over and over again. After this they had to do countless rounds off grappling. By the end everyone was exhausted but happy to hear they had passed. Sadly on the presentation day, over half the school were off ill with a bug. This meant we had a low attendance for the presentation. I hope you all feel better soon and when you come back I have your new belts and certificates.
Next half is not going to be an easy one. We have a lot of work to do in preparation for the grappling competition which I know ever one is looking forward to. I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and a Happy New Year, and I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
