Event Description:

On Sunday 4th October, Sensei Harker will be running this year’s “Ishin Ryu CQC and CA Challenge” as part of the 14th annual Shochu Geiko Cross Training Weekend.

This is an intense one hour session that draws on Sensei Harker’s extensive experienced in the armed forces, and his many years as a lecturer in Casualty Evacuation Under Fire, Controlled Aggression, and Close Quarter Combat.

At the end of this special session there will our annual “Gauntlet Challenge”:

This will involve teams of six fighting through the adversity of physical exertion (CASEVAC) and defeating a series of unarmed and armed attackers (CQC).

It will be a timed race through a series of lanes, and the fastest team wins.

The cost of entry is £5 per head – and teams will be made up of six heads – with all proceeds going to Ishin Ryu’s nominated charity, “Hounds For Heroes”, who do incredible work every year rehabilitating injured service men through specially trained dogs that help them through every aspect of daily life.
