Congratulations to the Student of the Month June 2015

During the month of June, all effort was geared towards getting everyone ready for class gradings on Friday the 3rd July. The gradings were supposed to be a week later but due to traveling away on business on Friday the 10th July the class has been cancelled so the grading has to be carried out a week earlier.

The infant and juniors have been working hard on their escapes from being grabbed either from the front or behind. In the infant class we instructed them all not to perform strikes but did allow the junior class to do so but in a controlled manner.

For the remaining weeks of the month we started work on getting all students in a straight line to either perform exercises or techniques. The new burpees were introduced, which went across all classes including the teenagers and adults. The new modification was to ensure that the exercise was carried out correctly. After doing these for the next few months, everyone will soon adapt and not worry at all!

Alisha Offord has been settling into class really well, Alisha is learning the rules of the dojo and working well with her fellow students

Next month we have class gradings and everyone will be tested on their abilities, if successful they will then get presented with their new belts and certificates on Friday the 17th July. The class will also be awarded with a games lesson, a fun time for all especially after all their hard work.

We have summer holidays only around the corner, which I’m sure lots of you are looking forward too. (We’ll, maybe not the parents) Unfortunately there will be no Ju Jitsu at Hopton School due to the school closure. If you wish to do some training over the summer holidays, I will best advise you where to go.
