Caston Ju Jitsu Club
Monthly Report, January 2014

Well it’s fair to say that January has only just arrived yet gone again already, where does the time go? As usual it’s a busy time at Honbu Dojo with two new infants (Hello Harry and Arthur) and a new junior (Hello Nevah) starting this month. So far we have been lucky with the weather – this time last year everybody was snowed in – fingers crossed it stays that way. Having already crammed a “Yudansha Day” and the Anniversary Dinner into the first couple of weeks of the year, we have also managed to fit in some solid training and the monthly Nicklestick Escrima Course with Master Martin Silitoe.

To end the month of nicely we were visited by some of our fellow Ishin Ryu students who travelled up from Hertfordshire for an evening’s entertainment. (I think it’s fair to say, they were entertained!)  Thanks to Simon, Phil and Justin for joining us, hope you are able to join us again soon.
Finally I would like to say a big Thank you to Katy King from the Friday Teenagers class for being the student to raise the most cash at last year’s charity event. I hope you enjoy your chocolaty prize – and share it with your mum who joined us that evening!
