Monthly Report, February 2014

Well February has come and gone in a blur, the month commenced with the usual Wolf Pack Ishin Ryu escrima stick fighting course, hosted by Sensei Kevin Pell at Honbu Dojo and taught by Guru Martin Sillitoe of Nicklestick Escrima. Martin attends the Honbu Dojo on the first Sunday of every month to run the Ishin Ryu Wolf Pack Chapter (all levels welcome- contact Teresa for more details)

This was followed swiftly by the renowned Advanced Training day, attended by all the Ishin Ryu senior grades- full write up of the day to follow shortly- as usual this was a day cram packed with techniques and skills and the usual mixture of blood, sweat and tears.
Rounding of the month as we steam into March, Ishin Ryu was once again invited to the SAS gentleman’s charity dinner, held in Wales. As usual Ishin Ryu (Gentleman!!) travelled on mass to support another worthy cause. Obviously I can’t divulge too many details as I wasn’t there!!
And finally, congratulations this month to Honbu students receiving Student of the Month Awards- well done to Rauiri Bruce in the infant class and Joanna Cressey from the junior class.
