Caston Ju Jitsu Club
Grading Report, March 2014

On March 12th and 14th the infant and junior students from the Honbu dojo located in Caston, Norfolk participated in there tri-yearly gradings. As usual the evening commenced with the littlest of students (some aged only 4 years) showing their understanding and knowledge to attain their next grade. Some of these youngsters have never graded before so a special congratulations to Kalib Gulliver, Megan Margrie and Artemis Bruce for a successful first ever grading, I am very proud of you all.

Congratulations to all those receiving their new grades

Congratulations to all those receiving their new grades

The “smalls” are promptly followed by the elder children, some of whom have reached the dizzying heights of Brown belt with black stripe (and will now not be eligible to grade until they move up to teenagers classes, where they will recommence their learning at a whole new level)

Thank you to Laura Wilson and Callum Hendrie who still attended to show their support for those that were grading, despite not grading themselves. This is the epitome of Ishin Ryu and the togetherness these children share and steps they are prepared to take to support one another.

All in all a successful week of gradings, not everybody passed, but nothing that is worthwhile ever comes easy. Congratulations to those that were successful and commiserations to those not successful, there is always next time!
