Infant students at the 2015 British Championships

Infant students at the 2015 British Championships

Congratulations to all the students who took part in this year’s championship, especially Adam Bayes- Housden who won bronze medal. You all performed extremely well competing for the first time and did your club proud. It has been a really busy time with grading coming up and the students have been practising for their demonstration at the school fete before they close for the long summer break.

I can’t believe it is only four weeks before they close for the holidays. Well done to Amelia Croft who has worked really hard this term. She is such a bubbly student and really works well with the rest of her class.

The new mats will hopefully be arriving in the second week of June, so the students will get a couple of weeks use out of them. It is going to be so much better with a larger training area, the latest design and 40mm thickness mats. It will be like landing on a bed for the students. It will also make the club look so much more professional with the new sports centre nearly completed.

Congratulations to William, who won Silver medal at the championships. He just missed out on the gold medal by one point. He had some very hard fights and did great for his club. William & Olly will be taking their yellow belt in a few weeks. They have both never missed a lesson in the four years of training and are very committed to their training.

Just one final thing to let everyone know, this year’s SUMMER CAMP is from Monday 3rd August to Friday 7th August. There is a limited amount of spaces in both the infant and junior camp. The cut-off date is Saturday 7th July, due to medals and trophies that have to be ordered for the camp.

This is a great chance for your child to have lots of fun and Ju Jitsu Training for 5 hours a day over a week period. Letters and a booking form will be going out in the first week of June.

Well done to everyone for all your hard training this month. As this will be the last report before you break up for the holiday have a great summer break. I look forward to seeing you all in September for the last term before the dreaded word CHRISTMAS!
