This month I would like to say a big well done to Michal Rajputty in the infant class, Loan Henry in the first junior class and Tye Simpson in the second junior class for becoming this month’s student of the month. All three boys work hard in the lesson and are star students and a joy to teach. They showed amazing spirit in the dojo on their grading and wanted to do more than they had to do. Well done boys keep it up.
I would like to start this report off by saying a big well done to everyone training at the Bushey grove dojo, you all have been putting in 100% into your training and it is amazing to see how far you have come. Me and sensei Del are so proud of you all and it shows in the way you are training that you are really enjoying your training.
This month we have been getting the students ready for their final gradings of the year. With the young students all learning the same moves the kids have been loving it.
The ways in which I and Sensei Del have been teaching Jiu Jitsu to the kids has been by making it fun, putting a lot of the moves into games. So that the kids are learning but having fun by doing it. This will make sure that they all remember the moves as they will have it in their heads as something fun.
The kids love playing games where they run around and nothing beats a good game of stuck in the mud. The beginning of each lesson we get the kids warmed up with a game and put fitness and stretching into the game to make sure all the students are ready and warm for the whole lesson.
The teenagers have also been working hard as they have their national grading in December with all the teenagers working so hard from white belt all the way up to green belt. Everyone is firing on all four cannons.
Both infant and junior classes have been learning loads of basic self-defense moves from someone pulling the arm or trying to hold them around the head. This has been so much fun for the kids to learn and also for me and sensei Del to teach. With a lot of bullying going on in schools around the country this is one thing I hold close to my heart, as Ishin Ryu is a self-defence school.
Both classes can’t wait for the grading’s next month and they have been putting a lot of hard work into their training.
Sensei Del and Sensei Tom are very proud of all the students for all their hard work and also the commitment to training. I would also like to thank the parents for the support for the club as if it wasn’t for you, we wouldn’t have a club.
Don’t forget that next month is a grading month with the children grading on Monday 7th November 2016. Please make sure you have handed in your licence and grading form to say that you would like to grade.
