I would like to say a big well done to Hadiyyah Belhachemi in the infant class and Adrian Mordi in the junior class on becoming June’s student of the month. In the infant class Hadiyyah has been working so well and always try’s her best. She won silver at the national championships last month from all her hard training so this month to show her dedication she has become student of the month.
In the junior class Adrian has been a fine addition to the class, working so hard week in and week out he is a joy to teach. He has been working hard on his breakfalls and getting ready for his grading. Well done to both students this month it gets harder and harder to pick, as all the kids are amazing to teach.
This month has been the countdown to grading, with all three classes working towards their next colour belts. The infants have been learning ground escapes and hold downs, with round of grappling and fitness to keep them moving and working hard. It has been amazing to teach and the kids have been working hard using their lefts and their rights and using a lot of core body to lift someone off them and roll them over. With the moves we have been doing we try to make them as easy as possible because you have to remember them.
The junior class have been really good with some new students joining us from the Harrow Dojo it has given the class some more happy faces to join one of the biggest and best clubs in the country. The class have been learning about pushing and getting pinned agent a wall and what to do, and the class have been having loads of fun using the wall has a tool to use in self- defence. With different attacks coming in from a punch or a push the class use the wall to throw them in to it or pin them up to the wall so they can run away. I have seen so many amazing moves from the kids and so many interesting questions about the attacks. Also this month the class have been doing a lot more grappling and fitness because you never know what could happen if someone gets you to the floor.
Both classes are looking ready for their grading and I can’t wait to see all their put in to action. The teenager class have been working on their next colour belts with loads of the class going from yellow belt to orange. The yellows have been learning defence to strangles and they have done really well with the ladies doing better than lads some weeks, putting in 110% it’s been an honour to teach them. The white belts have been going over their basic ground work from hold downs to different chocks from on top of someone.
Nathan Morris has shown a keen interest as he loves grappling and takes everything in like a sponge. To finish off each lesson the classes all finish off with rounds of stand up grappling and kneeing grappling and I have to say all the classes are amazing with some lovely throws and locks to prefect escapes and counters, The Bushey dojo is going from strength to strength and I would like to thank all the students for all their hard work.
Please remember that the grading for the kids will be on Friday 8th July 2016. All admin has to be handed in before then so we know if your child will be grading.
Next month is the children’s grading. Please make sure you bring loads of water and true Ishin Ryu fighting spirit. I don’t need to wish you luck as you all have been working hard and your training is all you need.
