I would like to congratulate our Students of the Month for June – Pavana Nurgush & Charlie Elman. They have shown great commitment to their training and have really got stuck into their techniques this month. Well done and keep up the good work.

Well done to Pavana Nurgush, for being awarded the Student of the Month.

This month at the Bushey Friday Ju Jitsu club we have been preparing for the upcoming gradings for the infants and junior classes. We have been going over various escapes from grabs and how to get rid of your opponent in a safe and controlled way.

Both classes have picked this up really fast and are demonstrating excellent techniques. I think the gradings will be a breeze for the Friday class.

We have also been keeping on top of our grappling fitness training. Every lesson we have been doing our basic fitness test followed by grappling. Which everyone has been enjoying. Even Sensei Tom has been taking part in.

This month we have also had demonstrations at local fetes where students have shown off their Ju Jitsu skills for the public to see. I would like to say well done and a massive thank you to Nathan Morris who gave up his time to do a demonstration at Shenley Fete and Manor Lodge Fete.

The display he put on was with Sempai Jack really impressed the audience. It was a fantastic display of Ju Jitsu and children’s self-defence. Well done to you all!!

Lastly the teenagers will not be grading until December but we have been learning our syllabus for the next grading, it’s never too early to start. Not only have they been going through the syllabus, they have also been take part in team activities to try and make the class work together more. This has been awesome to watch the class bond. Well done guys and keep up the good work.

Next month we are going to be concentrating on our syllabus work as grading will be taking place. I would like to wish everyone the very best of luck. You all will be amazing.

I would like to remind everyone that the gradings have been moved a week forward due to Sensei Tom and myself being away in Hereford with our Special Forces with Soke.

Classes will still run as normal while we are both away and will be covered by Sempai Lou!
