I would like to congratulate our Students of the Month for May, Jack Baker and Dylan Elman. They have both shown great commitment to their training and have really got stuck in this month. Well done and keep up the good work. Also I would like to say a huge well done to everyone who entered the National Championships. You all did really well and I’m extremely proud of you all. I would like to say congratulations to Jack Baker who came away with a bronze medal.
May has been an awesome month for the Bushey Dojo. During the last few weeks we have had the National Championships. The students have been building up to this for months and finally the day had come to show everyone what they are made of. In class we had been going over and over our grappling work to try and increase the children’s skills. They have all been working hard for this and I am really proud to say that the Friday class has performed extremely well, and walked away with loads of medals.
Well done to Charlie Palmer who won gold, William ivory who won bronze and Joe O’Learly who won silver.
This month the infants have been working towards the Championships. They have been going over ground holds and throws. Ryan Morras has been training extremely hard for this. Every lesson he has been going over hip throws and hold downs. I can’t wait to see you compete at the end of the month! The juniors have also been training for the Championships. They have been focusing on their chokes and throws. This is so they can take their opponent down quickly and get them to submit quickly. I think they are doing really well and everyone which is competing will do fantastic. Teenagers have been preparing for their next gradings. Not only are they learning their syllabus, they are practicing their fitness and their throws, which are coming along really well. Their gradings will be in July and I think it will be brilliant.
Next moth we will be getting ready for the national grading which everyone is looking forward. Also I would like to take this opportunity to wish Sempai Tom good luck for his grading, I know he will be awesome.
