I would like to congratulate Marley Adams in the Infant class, who has become Student Of The Month for March. He has worked so hard over the past month, and has shown true Ishin Ryu spirit by always helping others in the class. A very big well done Marley – keep up the hard work.
In the Junior class, I would like to say a big well done to Thesanya W-Perera. I am really proud to award Thesanya Student Of The Month for March. She has worked really hard and never gives up. She is always willing to help other students and is always the first in the dojo and the last to leave. She is a brilliant student to have in the class – keep up the good work Thesanya.
This month has been a huge success for the Bushey Tuesday class, having worked so hard this month in an outstanding grading. They have come a long way and I am so proud of all of them and I could not ask for a better class. With both classes doing some outstanding gradings it has been one crazy month with all the kids excited to get their new belts and also looking forward to the grading itself.
The Infant class performed brilliantly, showing me the basic holds and wrist locks needed. The higher belts did some throws as well in order to mix it up. To finish the class off, we ended with rounds of grappling and fitness to get the heart pumping – all the kids didn’t stop and could have gone on for hours.
The Juniors were the same. As soon as they came in to the Dojo, they were all focused and ready for action. Starting with a warm up and fitness we moved on to rounds of grappling from kneeling and also standing up. With loads of throws, and going over their basic locks and holds – I couldn’t ask more of them. They have done an outstanding grading. I am so proud of this class each week everyone is willing to work hard and it shows in their Ju Jitsu.
With the grading’s out of the way and everyone really happy with their new belts, both classes are going to be working on stand up grappling and working towards the children’s championship’s in Norfolk. We have had loads of interest already as some of the children have gone to the competition last year and won, so they all want to become the next British Champion. So we are going to be doing a lot of grappling from kneeling and standing. There will be some nice take downs and throws too. So watch out everyone – Bushey Tuesday are coming for you.
For more information on the Championships have a look on the website for information or contact me in the lesson. We are going to be handing out a letter with more information on what you will need to do.
Keep up the good work everyone have a good Easter and look forward to next month
