Congratulations to all the infants that took part in last month’s gradings. Can’t believe we have done the second grading for this year already. The infants did a brilliant grading with excellent fitness tests, take down techniques with hold-downs. As always Izzi Mae did an awesome grading as did Kian Hall. As it is the summer holiday’s the club will start to be a little quieter than usual.
Congratulations to Blue for all his hard work and dedication to his training. Blue has worked really hard and loves training every Tuesday. He hasn’t missed a single lesson since he started, and gets on really well with the other students in his class.
I was very honoured to award Connor with student of the month. Conner has achieved so much since he started training. Not only in training, but his attitude to fellow students and me. He has developed into a very respectful and kind young boy, and I hope that when he reaches the top grade he will move up into the teenager class.
What a brilliant grading by all the juniors, they really put every effect into the grading. From the very moment they started it was exactly what I wanted to see them preform. A couple of students that really stood out were Connor & Harry, two of my senior members of the club.
They showed so much etiquette and never gave up, even when it started to get more intense. As always there is a presentation the following week so all their family can come along to watch them receive their new belts & certificates. This is always a very special moment for all the students and their families to treasure that very special photo. And of course it always ends up with the traditional photo of the entire students throwing their old belts up in the air.
Presenting a student with their six year award is always a very special moment for me as an instructor in so many ways. Connor Tweed started training with me back in 2009, as a young boy. I know he won’t mind me saying that he was a bit of a problem in the early days.
I have watched him grow into a very respectful and hardworking student. He has become a very talented student and it is a pleasure to teach him every Tuesday. I really hope that once he passes his last belt in the juniors that he will move onto the next part of his journey into the teenager class.
Just one final thing to let everyone know, this year’s SUMMER CAMP is from Monday 3rd August to Friday 7th August. There is a limited amount of spaces in both the infant and junior camp. The cut-off date is Saturday 7th July, due to medals and trophies that have to be ordered for the camp.
This is a great chance for your child to have lots of fun and Ju Jitsu Training for 5 hours a day over a week period. Letters and a booking form will be going out in the first week of June.
Well done to everyone at the club for all your amazing support and great training. See you all next month with some great photos from the carnival.
