Awesome

Awesome

After sixteen years of teaching, I have finally purchased a van. I have had it customised with our logos all over it. As an instructor it is a great way of advertising and for people to see it every day of the year. It is so much better than having a car, and it is the best way to make your organisation and clubs a success.

Infants class presentation

The infant class has grown to a really nice size, it is amazing how the word gets around and parents talk to their friends. Nearly all the class are in the new gi’s, which look really brilliant.  I can’t wait to see the students wearing the new gi’s at the British championships in May. The infants did an awesome grading, especially as the techniques were very technical. And it was a test to see how they would cope with doing wrist lock techniques. The quick takedowns into hold-downs look really cool. Well done to everyone for all their hard work.

Well done to Archie Granger, who received the top grade of black/white. It is always a special moment when a student achieves all their belts in their class. Next month he will be moving up into the junior class to the next level of his martial art training.

It is great to see a couple of new students join the club recently, and with a couple moving up from the infant class it will be a good size class. Well done to all the students that graded, as usual you all did a great job. Now that the gradings have finished we can concentrate on the British Championships in May.

Just to let everyone know this year’s British Championship will be on Sunday 22nd May. Due to the amount of students that will want to take part, there will be a cut-off date. There will be NO ENTRIES ALLOWED after this date. So please beware that once you receive the letter & entry form, please enter your child as soon as possible so you don’t lose out.

Awesome fun ahead at this year’s summer camp

Awesome fun ahead at this year’s summer camp

As last year’s summer camp was a sell-out, I can confirm that next year’s summer camp will be from MONDAY 8TH AUGUST TO FRIDAY 12TH AUGUST 2016.

Please visit our website www.ishinryu.com as much as possible as I submit reports every month about the students training during the previous month. This is a great opportunity to see if you have been mentioned or appear in a photo.

We also have the new calendar page where you can have a look at upcoming events so you can plan ahead. You can also leave feedback on each of the reports or comment on your son/daughters club and share them to your Facebook pages.

If you have any questions or you are unsure of anything, please catch me at the club where I will be happy to help!

If you are on Facebook, please can you send me and Kevin Pell a friend request so if we need to pass on information quickly I can contact you, and when the reports go up I can share it to your Facebook page so you get it straight away.
