Very happy students at this year’s British Championship

Very happy students at this year’s British Championship

The new Shoman is working really well for all the students and new students that come along. It is only two weeks to go before the club preforms a demonstration at the BRANDION CARNIVAL. This is always a great day for all the students and their parents. This year is going to be a bit special as I have had some mascot suits made in china, which will be great for the parade. It will also be great for advertising the club and to get new students to join up hopefully.

William Bell (Infant)

William Bell (Infant)

Congratulations to William Bell for all the hard work and dedication he has shown to his training. William is always a cheerful student during the lessons and gives it his best shot trying new techniques.

New students Noah & Jack have settled in nicely, Jack is a great character and always cheers me up during the lessons. The Infants are now working on their techniques for gradings in July and the demo for the carnival. Time seems to fly past at the moment with so much going on. As they say it’s great to be busy. Izzi Mae and Mason had a brilliant time at the championships and did really well for their first time. Already they are eager to learn more techniques so they can win next year.

Aeryn Liepa (Junior)

Aeryn Liepa (Junior)

Well done to Aeryn who was awarded student of the month. Aeryn has always been a dedicated student since I started teaching her many years ago. She is reaching the top of her Junior belts, and it would be great to see her move up to the teenager class next year. Congratulations to Scott Cundall for working really hard over the last month in all aspects of his training. Scott had developed into a good martial artist and always gives it 100%. Welcome back to Ben Hunt who has returned after some time out. It seems like he never left as he knows most of the students in the class.

Congratulations to Conner & Ashley who both received a medal for their progress cards. Congratulations to the following students who won medals at the championship.

ARCHIE GRANGER – BRITISH CHAMPION UNDER 34KG
HARRY CHAMBERS – BRITISH CHAMPION UNDER 34KG
SCOTT CUNDALL – SILVER MEDALIST UNER 42KG
ASHLEY BAKER – SILVER MEDALIST UNDER 44KG
CONNOR TWEED – BRONZE MEDALIST UNDER 41KG

It was a fantastic result for the Brandon dojo at this year’s championship – the best to date. It is great to see how the students are eager to get better in developing their techniques for next year’s championship. The Juniors are also learning their techniques for their grading in July, which will involve a lot of techniques that they used at the championships.

Just one final thing to let everyone know, this year’s SUMMER CAMP is from Monday 3rd August to Friday 7th August. There is a limited amount of spaces in both the Infant and Junior camp. The cut-off date is Saturday 7th July, due to medals and trophies that have to be ordered for the camp.

This is a great chance for your child to have lots of fun and Ju Jitsu Training for 5 hours a day over a week period. Letters and a booking form will be going out in the first week of June.

Well done to everyone at the club for all your amazing support and great training. See you all next month with some great photos from the carnival.
