Congratulations to Izzi Mae Carrick for all the amazing work she has done. A magic moment was to see her walk into the dojo sit in zay zar at the edge of the mats. What was even more impressive is that she didn’t move an inch or look at anyone until the class was bowed onto the mats.
The infants did a great grading, with all the hard work paying off. They are all so fit, I really found it hard to wear them out by the end of the grading. One student that stood out was Kian Hill; he has come so far since he first started. Archie Granger is one to look out for at this year’s British Championship, he did some fantastic throws during the grading. Well done to all the infants who passed their first belt to move up to the next level.
The juniors did their best grading to date. Well done to Annie who took her first ever grading, and did a really good job. All the juniors did brilliantly with the defence against wrist grabs, throws, rear strangles and of course the sensei’s secret tests. A special mention to Alex Jennings & Alex Clifton for all their amazing work over the years and reaching the top belt in the junior class. I hope they will now make the next big move into my teenager class at the Thetford club on a Monday or Saturday mornings.
Congratulation to everyone in the junior class, you all did a brilliant grading. For many children what you all achieved would be too much for them. It is far easier to sit at home playing on their xbox360, and then keeping fit and be able to take care of them.
