I would like to congratulate our Students of the Month for June – Ariel Corman and Ben Knowles. They have shown great commitment to their club and have really got stuck into their training this month. Well done and keep up the good work.
This month we have been preparing for the upcoming national gradings. The students have been learning various escapes from grabs and shoulder arm locks. We use these as anti-bully techniques. Children are taught how to deal with a situation where they have been grabbed and how to get out of it in a safe and controlled way. We have also been continuing with our fitness and grappling training just to make sure we stay in top condition for the next National Championships.
Not only do we have our grading coming up, we also have the Borehamwood Parade and Family’s Day which we are preparing for. Children from all classes are looking forward to this and like every year I know that it’s going to be a huge success.
Teenagers are also preparing for their grading which are approaching fast. Every lesson the students are pulling out their syllabus folders and training as hard as they can to try and prepare themselves for the gradings. I know that all the white belts are really looking forward to take part. They are all starting to get nervous now but I know how much hard work they have put into preparing for this, good luck to all who take part.
Next month we are going to be taking our gradings. So I would like to wish everyone taking part the best of luck I know that you will be awesome.
I would like to remind everyone that gradings will be taking place next month so make sure that you get your licences in on time so that you don’t miss out.
