We have had an amazing turn out at the Borehamwood Dojo this month. It has been great seeing so many adults on the mat training. We have been focusing on our syllabus for the upcoming gradings in December. Sensei Tom has been going through the technicalities of white and yellow belt this month. This has proven to be a huge help especially for Matthew Buckner and Simon Hoyles. To break down their syllabus and work on the technical detail of each move has really helped.

We have also been going over some of the higher syllabus techniques. This gives a little bit of an insight for the lower grades what to expect when they get higher up the belts. It also helps the higher grade as it reduces the risk of them forgetting the technical side of the syllabus.

As for the regular students of the Tuesday night adult class, Sempai Sam and Sempai Jack have been training hard blitzing through the belts and slamming each other into the mat try to condition themselves for their upcoming black belt grading. Don’t worry boy’s I will make sure you are ready.

It’s nice to see Harvey Cousins back on the mat training hard. Harvey is currently training for his Shodan Ho, and is coming along nicely. This month he has been working with Ollie Harvick on the blue belt syllabus which is a very technical belt. Keep up the good work guys.

I would like to welcome back on to the mat Michael. Michael has been away for a few months and has recently returned to training. It’s great to see him get back on to the mat get stuck in with everyone else. I can’t wait to see you attempt your first grading in December, I am certain you will be ready.

At the end of each lesson we have been turning the gas up and been doing some fitness and grappling, this is just to keep ourselves ion prime condition. Everyone in the class has loved this and has been trying their hardest. Excellent guys keep up the hard work.

Lastly I would like to welcome back Sanjay. Sanjay used to train with Sempai Jack in the teenager class 6 years ago. He came back down to give it a go. Well done Sanjay, it takes a lot to come back to training. I hope to see you regularly at the Borehamwood and Aldenham Dojo.

The adult class are looking forward to going to the Wayland show to support Ishin Ryu Ju Jitsu. Let’s hope the weather is nice and everything goes well.
