The A Team

The countdown begins! November is the last month before the National Adult gradings at the Honbu Dojo in Norfolk. All the adults have been hitting the mat hard, practicing and preparing themselves for their last great test of the year.

The Borehamwood class will have everyone grading from the white belts all the way up to the higher grades going from blue to purple belt. This should be a very exciting day and I can’t wait to see everyone in their new belts.

A packed class, training hard

With everyone working hard on their belts myself and Sensei Sam Gladdy and the Shodan Ho’s have been helping each group out with going over bits they are finding hard or need some help with. At the end of each lesson I got a group out at a time to show the class and also to put them under a bit of pressure, and everyone has done amazing with rounds of grappling and stand up grappling nothing is stopping them.

Three students that have taken a big challenge is Jake Rider, Nick Rowan, and Lee Swain. They are green belts and they will be attempting blue and purple belt alongside Olli Harviek. They have put so much time and training into this I am looking forward to this one. They have been spending a lot of time on purple belt going over gun disarms and the last little bits ready for the 17th December at Honbu.

All in all this month has been a very busy month for the adults getting ready for the grading, making sure everyone has the right kit and is doing what they should be doing.

Keep up the good work guys and I look forward to seeing you all in the dojo going over the final bits ready for the grading on Saturday 17th December 2016
