Sempai Jack working hard!

Sempai Jack working hard!

During the month of October, most students handed their adult Gi tops into headquarters so they could be sent off to get the back of their collars embroidered with the name “Ishin Ryu,” with all nearly done this will make a great picture when away on a seminar.

Up, up and away…

Up, up and away…

As you are all aware Soke had to cancel this year’s Shochu Geiko for personal reasons but was left in astonishment when Sensei Andy and Sheila invited Soke out for a meal in Norwich to celebrate his 50th anniversary within martial Arts. As you can imagine Soke was overwhelmed by their invitation and accepted. Behind the scenes, other arrangements had been made for the senior grades to meet in location and celebrate together.

Thinking nothing of it, Soke came through the door and was completely dumbfounded by what had gone on – his face was a picture to be seen. With all the greetings done, we sat down to have a fantastic meal and a few drinks. The evening was a success and Soke went home one happy bunny!  CONGRATULATIONS SOKE!

Look out!

As for training goes within the club, students have been working hard on fitness, syllabus and all things Ishin Ryu. Grading is fast approaching and some students have taken the opportunity to train on other nights or at other clubs which brings new faces with a different location.

Anniversary dinner is coming up so everyone please start arranging your hotel rooms if you are planning to stay. As always this will be a fantastic evening with great food, live entertainment and a chance to meet all student’s, friends and families that they choose to bring along. Please note: if you phone up to book your hotel room, don’t forget to tell them that you will be attending the Ishin Ryu Jiu Jutsu evening and you will get your hotel room at the discounted price. Don’t leave it to the last minute, you don’t want to be staying at another hotel and end up traveling after you’ve had a few too many. There’s also a great breakfast to start your day off which is included in the price. Tickets will be available soon…
