Well-done to you all, performing fantastic demonstrations

Well-done to you all, performing fantastic demonstrations

August is here and the month started off with children and adult students congregating together to attend and perform demonstrations at the annual Weyland Show. Students from around the country gathered together to perform some fantastic demonstrations in front of Norfolk’s crowds. Well done to all that attended and performed at this event. For a full write up about this event, please read Sensei Sheila’s report:http://ju-jitsu.co.uk/ishin-ryu-jiu-jitsu-wayland-show-report-august-2016/

The day after the Weyland show myself and the family took two weeks R&R from the clubs to relieve any stresses built up over the year – highly recommended to all. Whilst I was away I would like to say thank you to Sensei Andy, Sensei Sam, Sempai Jack, Sempai Patrick and Sempai Mike for taking the reins and keeping the training going as normal.

With most being away on their summer holidays, it’s a good time to get a more technical one-to-one with one of the senior grades. Upon my return, we continued with the syllabus and some good fitness to get the body fired up after a good break. Alasdair Tuhrim it’s great to see you back on the mat after having a couple of months off with an injured foot, take it slow to mend that foot properly.

A quick reminder to all the senior grades, we have A.T.W on Saturday 24th September and look forward to seeing all in attendance. Also, can you please make sure that you have the required equipment if you are planning to do this year’s December grading – don’t leave it to the last moment to get things sorted.

Headquarters have new Ishin Ryu Jiu Jitsu bag gloves back in stock, the cost of these bag gloves has gone up slightly since last time but still at a fantastic price of £25. If you require a pair, please phone headquarters or alternatively see me at the club. Look forward to seeing you all in September for a fantastic months training!
