I would like to congratulate our Students Of The Month for March – Jared Kurensky and Callum Randel. They have shown great commitment to their training and have really got stuck into their techniques this month. Well done and keep up the good work.
This month as been an awesome month for the Borehamwood Saturday dojo. During the month we have had the Infant and Junior gradings. We have also been going over loads of grappling work, in preparation for the National Championships. We have many students that want to take part in the championships again this year, and I know that everyone is looking forward to it. I know we are going to do really well.
The Teenager class have been preparing for their next grading as well which is in June. I know they will do really well and that they will train hard for it. Before you know it, it will be June.
So this month the gradings have taken place. I am happy to say that everyone who took part, passed. We started off the grading day with the line-up and breakfalls. We then moved on to the grading techniques. The infants were ready to rumble! As soon as they walked into the dojo they knew what day it was and they were determined to pass. They all performed their techniques perfectly, which really impressed me and Sempai Tom.
The Juniors were awesome! They performed various different takedowns and chokes. We then moved on to the grappling and fitness side of the grading. It was great to see the class so determined to pass the grading. Well done everyone. I would like to say a big well dine to Alfie and Harrison Travers who performed a perfect grading. Well done boys.
Next month we are going to be concentrating on our stand up grappling, in preparation for the competition which is only round the corner. I know that everyone is looking forward to it and I can’t wait to see you all there.
I would just like to remind everyone that the classes are still carrying on through the Easter Holidays. And also a reminder about the nation championships which will be taking place on the 17th May 2015. Hope to see you all there.
