Well done to Ashley Lord as our student of the months for August 2015

This Month has been a quite one at Aldenham Ju Jitsu club. Everyone has been jet setting around the world to lounge on the sun! I hope you have a nice time away and I can’t wait to have you all back in the class. This month we have managed to get hold of two sumo suits. The class was buzzing. Rolling around jumping on each other and trying to hip throw each other with sumo suits was very amusing to watch, really well done to Toby Curnow who is the undefeated champion of sumo suits.

The infants have been practicing their hold downs and their front breakfalls. They are really coming along now. We have been focusing on ground holds and breaking ground strangles. As the gradings are over we now have the chance to go over some new and exciting techniques. The class have really enjoyed this and have all worked hard. Well done to the whole class. You are all doing really well.

The juniors have been learning different throws. This is to try and improve the students balance and confidence when throwing an opponent. The class are picking these new throws up easy and they are practicing them over and over again. Well done guys and keep up the good work.

Next month we are going to be concentrating on throws and shoulder locks. As everyone will be back from their holidays and they will be getting back to school. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone.

Ready, Steady… GRAPPLE!
