Nice Technique Sempai’s

Nice Technique Sempai’s

During the first week of March, that adults of Aldenham Ju Jitsu club worked on syllabus techniques for the corresponding belts. Young Joseph George has been steadily getting all his techniques correct for his 8th Kyu (White belt) that hopefully he will attempt in the summer. Jake Rider and Lee Swain who are at the same level will be unable to attempt the summer gradings due to work commitments so will hopefully be able to attempt at another time allocated by Soke Kevin Pell.

William Forrester, Jerome Badu and Rikesh Shah have been working on their yellow belt techniques watched carefully this month by Sempai Patrick Davis. Rik missed his last grading due to family arrangements so should have everything in place this time around.

The second week of March, the lower grades got an insight to what techniques are at the higher end of the syllabus, and Matthew Buckner worked well with Sempai Mike Tuohy on a few of these. After finishing, they all paired into their groups to hone their skills for their current belts they would attempt. Nick Rowan who has made regular training throughout week has made a positive request to double grade and so has been working on his 7th kyu (Yellow belt) Nick has also informed me that he is purchasing the necessary equipment and federation attire

The following week, we continued with our training. Olli Harviek was helped by Harvey Cousins on his 4th Kyu (Blue belt) to work on some of his knife techniques, whilst Sempai Patrick Davis took the remainder through yellow belt.

The last week of the month, we were privileged to be visited by Soke who took the class through throwing techniques carefully combined with pins on the floor. It was a fast pace which left most perspiring. After a great hour we packed up and got ourselves down to the Waggon and Horses in Aldenham. It might be just a coincidence, but what are the chances of Norfolk and Hertfordshire using pubs with the same name?

We have Easter half term starting at the end of March and going into April and if you are planning to go away I hope you have a great time. Please also remember we have Easter Monday next month and there will be no training at Bushey Ju Jitsu club for adults as the centre closes at 8pm.

Could you please let Soke or myself know if you are able to help out on the Children’s Championships taking place on Sunday 17th May. If you are also thinking of competing could you give me your names so I can compile a list.

I hope you all have a lovely Easter break and I will see you in April.

I really am enjoying helpinh the others through their belts, both a sense of achievement when they succeed and also helps me to out review and revise what you and the Yudansha have taught me.
    OSU!
