Time to get those legs working!

Time to get those legs working!

February had some new surprises when we saw the return of Alex Dacres who started his training off a few years ago at Bushey Ju Jitsu club. Alex who returned somewhat bigger than I remembered but is getting his teeth stuck back into his training and thoroughly enjoying himself.

We have also seen the return of Kaajal Hirji who took some time out but is committed to get herself back in shape as she has some new events in the arisen…

More fitness, train hard – fight easy!

More fitness, train hard – fight easy!

February has had a couple of events – we had A.T.W (Advance training wing) which was rescheduled from last month that saw the senior grades travel to headquarters to get rid of any lingering cobwebs trying to creep in, Soke made sure that he kept us on our toes and gave us a good old traditional training session which left us with a good sweat on. “Osu,” – thank you Soke…!

The other event that we had this month been the first aid course, which saw 24 students attend this fantastic one-day event, which Soke gladly, used Honbu to stage this event. We brushed up on those all important skills so we can bring first class care to our students should any problems arise.

It is also a requirement for any student wanting to attempt their brown belt that they must have a valid first aid qualification. It was a great day and was positive that everyone went away with some valuable skills.

All of the adult students from novice to Shodan have been working on their Ju Jitsu skills, brushing up on previous belts and making sure that they have good technical ability!

Alistair Tuhrim took advantage of some extra training by coming along to the Bushey Ju Jitsu club on Monday – well done Alistair, you really have done a 180 with your training…!

We had half term week for the children which family members took a little R&R to spend some quality time with their loved ones.

Please visit our website as much as possible as I submit reports every month about the students training during the previous month. This is a great opportunity to see if you have been mentioned or appear in a photo.

We also have the new calendar page where you can have a look at upcoming events so you can plan ahead. You can also leave feedback on each of the reports or comment on your son/daughters club and share them to your Facebook pages.

If you have any questions or you are unsure of anything, please catch me at the club where I will be happy to help!

If you are on Facebook, please can you send me and Kevin Pell a friend request so if we need to pass on information quickly I can contact you, and when the reports go up I can share it to your Facebook page so you get it straight away…

Look forward to seeing you all in March…
