  1. I would just like to congratulate Sempai Patrick Davis on his wise words and thank him – Very well said Patrick…

  2. A great effort from Martin Adil-Smith to try and capture some of the spirit shown during this white belt grading at Honbu recently. Not an easy task and very difficult to show just how tired and worn down these beginners were, hence some bad technique and memory loss on some of the technical questions and general knowledge but this was always intended to be a fly on the wall look at a fairly tough grading pitched at beginner level…

What a fantastic day for the adult students, a big well done to everyone that passed, You all did very well.

  4. There is something special about your first grading, I remember saying “never again!”. But then you look at your belt and remember that you earned that the hard way, you realise that you can go further, if you want to. To all those who graded, it was a pleasure being part of your day, the memories will live on longer than the bruises. Osu!
